I recently puchased some glasses from Metsuki primarily to save money. Normally I need to budget around £300 for frames and lenses (I need thin ones). I did some research on online sites and whilst Metsuki weren’t the cheapest they had good reviews and are UK based, I’d stay clear of anything based in China when it comes to buying specs.
The process was very straightforward with the only tricky bit being doing your own PD, I got a freebie ruler from Metsuki but it didn’t seem that accurate so just did it with a ruler and got a friend to read me the measurements.
Correspondence was good and my specs arrived in about 5 days. All in I reckon I saved about £140 on a pair of Ray Ban frames and 1.67 lenses with scotch guard which I’m pretty chuffed about. I’d recommend them to anyone else who needs new specs, just remember to triple check the prescription you enter as if you make a mistake you’ll still need to pay for the lenses (fair enough really).
Thanks, Darren
